HOLDSWORTH HOUSE
c. 1784
Digby, Nova Scotia

Be prepared to leave the 21st century behind...

and re-live life as it once was in the 18th century.

James Addington Holdsworth built this home around 1784 after his arrival to Digby from the New York area

The Holdsworth House has three guest rooms each with a private ensuite bath.

There are two parlours for reading and relaxing, or maybe an old fashioned parlour game.

While you enjoy your stay at the Holdsworth House, you can experience life first hand as it once was for the early Canadian Settler.  Daily activities include soap and candle making and learning about herbs and wild flowers harvested for household and medicinal purposes.

Enhance your stay at the Holdsworth House by booking your 18th century open-hearth cooking class.

4 hours of hands on demonstrations of Loyalist cooking techniques, then after, enjoy the mouth watering feast you prepared.

$55/person, $45/person for guests of the Holdsworth House

Special Fall Package-2 nights accommodation in our newly restored James Addington room, overlooking the Annapolis Basin.  Cooked to order hot breakfast, a herbal candlelit bath, and an evening meal for two.  Inclusive-$145/person, regular rate, $180/person

Come and stay at the Holdsworth House and immerse yourself in history.
