HOLDSWORTH HOUSE
BED AND BREAKFAST
Digby, Nova Scotia
circa 1784
Be prepared to leave the 21st century behind...

and re-live life as it once was in the 18th century.
James Addington Holdsworth built this home around 1784 after his arrival to Digby from the New York area
The Holdsworth House has two cozy guest rooms each with a private ensuite bath. If you choose to have the house to yourself, that is also possible. As a self-catering rental you will have three bedrooms, sleeping a total of 6.
When operating as a B & B, a full breakfast is cooked to order over open flame in the restored kitchen fireplace, and served by your costumed hostess.
There are two parlours for reading and relaxing, or maybe an old fashioned parlour game.
While you enjoy your stay at the Holdsworth House, you can experience life first hand as it once was for the early Canadian Settler. Daily activities include soap and candle making and learning about herbs and wild flowers harvested for household and medicinal purposes.
Come and stay at the Holdsworth House and immerse youself in history.
